In the book The Monogamy Myth, author Peggy Vaugn estimates that over sixty percent of men and forty percent of women will have an extramarital affair sometime during the course of their marriage. There is no way to tell if that prediction will come true but according to infidelity statistics Vaugn is not to far off the mark.
