Nothing says the tropics quite like palm trees. You won’t find these swaying symbols of the South (of the equator, that is) in any other place than warm climates with sandy beaches. While there are over 2500 species of palm, the most well-known coconut palm with its feather-shaped leaves and towering trunk.
